Well done to the Year 3 and 4 teams that took part in the striking and fielding event at St. Thomas More's on the 19th May.
They were excellent. In fact they were so good that the year 3 team came second, and the year 4 team were champions.
The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves but afterwards said, "We're shattered now!"
Well done to all that took part, keep up the good work.
Congratulations to the 5 children who made their First Holy Communion at St. Anne's on Sunday 16th May. Robbie, Kaci-Rose, Joseph, Sophie and Emily, we are all very proud of you.
We are also looking forward to the children of St. Joseph's Parish making their First Holy Communion in June.

Years 1, 5 and 6 were visited by the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service this week. They were taught valuable lessons in fire safety and prevention. They learnt about the kit the firemen use on a daily basis and children in year 1 were able to go inside the fire engine and even have a go at controlling the hose! They were finally awarded a Junior Fire Safety Officer certificate.
