International School
The school was the first school in Gateshead to receive the accreditation award ‘Schools in Europe’ and has also been awarded the International School award twice. In the past, links have been developed with German, Austrian, Italian and Latvian schools. Our current partners are from France, Greece, Ireland, Poland and Portugal. Teachers visit these schools to learn about their teaching methods and pupils benefit from undertaking curriculum European project work with their partner schools.
International Day is celebrated each year with displays, assemblies, a quiz on Europe and a European treasure hunt.
