Sacrament of Reconcilliation and First Holy Communion
Many thanks to all those parents/ carers who attended meeting last night about the new Sacramental Programme for First Confession and First Holy Communion. If you were unable to make the meeting and you wish your Catholic child to make their First Holy Communion this year then it is vital that you speak with either Mr Godfrey or Fr Carr in the coming week. Both will explain the new programme to you and what will be expected of your child and of the family so that the receiving of these Sacraments are properly seen in the context of enabling us to deepen our love and understanding of God.
If you have lost or forgotten your enrolement form click on the link below and return it to school or to Fr Carr by Thursday 22nd Septeber.

High Praise Indeed!
Congratulations to the staff and pupils of St. Joseph's for being awarded The International School Award for the fifth time.
No other school in Gateshead has been as successful as we have been in applying for this prestigious award. We are the only school in Gateshead to have been awarded it five times.
The adjudication board were very impressed and even commented, "Congratulations on working so hard to co-ordinate such an impressive range of work as an International School. You are all a credit to the school and the wider community."
We all look forward to developing new partnerships and friendships with our International partners in years to come. Our current project is one based upon 'How We Look After Our Environment" with a school in Finland and Guadeloupe.
